Good for apartment/student living. Can’t really comment on durability and ease of washing in dishwasher (don’t have one) since I’ve only had it for a few weeks. Does it’s job in microwave – seems to not heat up too much so that the food actually gets warm. Haven’t noticed any scratches after using knife as one person I think wrote a review on before I purchased, but I have super dull knives anyways. I’m happy with them to say the least. Good colors (got the blue surface/black bottom) and nice style. Easy to wash the cups.

Cheap and good! Better than Ikea and I didn’t have to go to Ikea, so that’s like WAY better than Ikea.

I bought a set of these with the blue stripe a year ago and that set has held up really well. Even though a couple of pieces were dropped on tile floor, we were lucky that nothing broke. So I bought another set, this time with the red stripe.

What a great set. The color drew my wife in. The shapes, being different, caused a second glance. The ease of storage, the weight of each item and the wonderful stackability that seems to allow for more stacking is quite efficient. The ease of rinsing the dish as you set it in the sink (wife hates it when I don’t put it in dishwasher) makes for ease in loading the dishwasher later.For those that buy dishes because the needed some dishes…look around, and think about it. This is different from what I ever would have expected and I am so very pleased.4 people found this helpful

There are imperfections in these, but you’re not going to find any set in this price range without them. I actually got these on accident, when trying to get a Correll set. I thought I had chosen the correll but that’s what happens when you shop here first thing in the morning after drinking a Mexican village’s amount of tequila the night before. Correll designs just aren’t that nice and I wanted a classic cafe design, so I stuck with it. I’m sure they won’t last as long as Correll, but they are going to look good while they hold my bacon wrapped ribeyes and potatoes. As long as I don’t place vegetables on them, they should last for a while.

I just moved and wanted a table set that looked modern and cute without breaking the budget. Unlike some other reviews, my set was totally intact when it arrived, and so far they seem durable enough. I love the minimalism of this set and it is perfect for anyone looking to get some cute tableware at a great price.

I received second set of dishes today. I really love these dishes!! I didn’t see any imperfections in this set, the first only a few unnoticeable ones. They were packed well with no broken pieces. I did notice the different decals on back of dishes. The first just had Gibson Co. information and made in China. The second has Elite added to it with Gibson Co. in smaller print and that they are designed in California. They also seem to be a lighter in weight than first set. There’s no difference in color between the sets. They both are very pretty!

A couple years ago my wife and I got married and were moving for new jobs. Each of us had our own household goods, so we were combining these into a new home for us both. When it came to dishes, we decided to give each of our old sets away and get one together for OUR new home. These are perfect. They are not fancy, but have just enough color to make them interesting. We use these on a daily basis and they are holding up very, very well. After 2 years, no chips or breaks, so far. If you are looking for everyday dishware that will hold up to a lot of use, these will more than get the job done. Recommended. A+
