Freeson presents a Japanese style Retro teacup. Its origin is Dehua China and has been modified with a Japanese tangent.

  • A handmade Japanese teacup is a dream come true for all the tea-lovers! The teacup is made of ceramic with intricate details on both, the outside and inside.
  • The outer surface is glazed with a sandstone layer which gives a rugged but classic edge. The inside has a translucent white criss-cross pattern and has a smooth ceramic varnish.
  • The cup is sturdy, easy to use, and hassle-free. It comes in a single piece safety package to avoid breakage.
  • The teacup can be used for a magnanimous array of tea varieties. Scented, colored, pigmented, professional teas, etc.
  • The outer surface should just be cleaned with water. Abrasives should be avoided as it could wear the first layer off.

It holds the right quantity of material, cereal or soup or berries. It is a good size and proportion, a very esthetic bowl. I use it for a lot of things, serving berries, eating cereal or soup. very pleased. Thanks

I work late evenings and graveyard shifts, requiring me to make do with easy to make processed foods more often than not. This bowl really is just right for instant noodles. I buy the larger Korean brand stuff and they fit just perfectly in this bowl. Claims that the bowl doesn’t heat up in the microwave are complete BS, of course it does, it’s a bowl containing boiling liquid, of course it’s going to be warm. But it does stay at a manageable level and isn’t hard to hold it just right so it doesn’t burn your hands taking it out.

Love these bowls. Was looking to replace a set I bought years ago that I sadly only have three left in.Was hoping for a slightly larger size bowl (6″) to fit soups and salads like mine do.These are smaller (5″) and would be great for cereal or ice cream. The patterns match pretty closely to the sets of blue Japanese dishes I already own.Wishing Miya would bring back a discontinued pattern that was even prettier.Overall pleased with these bowls for the look and quality.

This is a great bowl for those us of that eat a lot of Ramen! It is made in Japan, so naturally it is of high quality.

I am Japanese, born and raised in Japan, married to an American. These rice bowls work perfectly in our home.To my Japanese taste, they look as if they were made to fit the American life style, even though its box says “Made in Japan.” They are in a large men’s size (in Japan, women use a smaller size) and it fits well in my husband’s big hand. They are much thicker than regular rice bowls in Japan, which also works pretty well for us, since most American tableware is thicker and larger than Japanese tableware and most of our tableware was purchased in the US,so these thick rice bowls go better in balance with the plates we have.I have some fine Japanese rice bowls that I brought from Japan, but I always feel that they look too delicate beside our American dishes. Also, we have a preschooler who is very active at the table, so I wanted to buy some every day rice bowls. These rice bowls serve us perfectly in our needs. The design looks authentic too.I do not think they are hand painted, but more likely prints of hand painted design.I prefer the pattern printed only outside and no pattern at all inside, but let me stop being too picky now. All in all, I am very pleased with these bowls. The price seems right too.I am happy that we can get such nice Japanese bowls in the US.

Not only are these bowls very beautiful and durable but are so beautifully packaged (and affordable) they would make an incredible wedding or housewarming gift. They arrive is a lovely navy blue box that you could tie a ribbon around, stick a card on and you’re Done ! Extremely satisfied with the quality of these hand painted bowls

Made in Japan. It’s light, yet feels rock solid instead of cheap. It doesn’t heat up in the microwave at all (besides the areas in contact with the food), making it easy to handle. It can also be handwashed very quickly due to the weight and how there are no interior ridges. The only negative is that I don’t know how well the plastic will stand up to the use of metal utensils over time. If faint scratch lines or marks bother you, you should probably stick to only using wooden utensils Besides that, I’m loving these.

I am happy to find these to add to my growing set. I find that this particular design is not easy to find online and only available at small non-descript retail store. I did notice some of the painting has some faint browning towards the rim. This makes sense since each are hand crafted and painted. The design is still beautiful and appreciate that each has its own “personality”.

This is great for ramen or anything else you want to use a big bowl for, but I bought it specifically for noodles. It will hold a pack and all the extra goodies you want to add. Very good size, love the color, there isn’t anything bad I could say about it. Very durable as well. I plan on buying more.

I was confused as to how big the bowl actually was from reading the description, reviews, and even other peoples pictures. So I took my own. The bowl has 2 cooked packages of ramen inside. it can easily hold 3. Very large bowl.

I was suprised at the quality of these bowls. The bowls are well made and they have vibrant colors. I measured 2 cups of water in a bowl for a portion measurement. Very nice. Would buy again.

These are awesome bowls, I’ve owned two of these bowls for a year now, and I’m ordering two more. They are microwave safe and just the right size. You can boil water in these bowls and take them right out of the microwave with your hands because of the lip on both the bottom and the top, the edges remain cool to the touch.

The print is exactly as pictured. The color is beautiful. And they arrived unbroken.I love these bowls! They are what they are. Nice sized bowls with a pretty fantastic design on them. This blossom lover is happy with her purchase.

I just received my order of these rice bowls, and I’m very pleased with them ..they are beautiful! They arrived in a very sturdy box, which was then packed in a shipping box padded with bubble wrap. They are just what I was hoping they would be, and I’m sure that I’ll enjoy using them very much. The design is wonderful .and more beautiful once you get them in hand than it shows on the webpage (at least I think so!!).I just got back from a trip to Japan and had wanted to bring back some for myself; but everything I found that I liked was way too expensive for my budget. The price for these bowls are well within my budget. I would recommend these bowls to anyone.

It’s exactly what I was looking for when I purchased it. It’s microwave safe, holds an adequate amount of liquid for cooking or consuming ramen. The shape is form fitted for holding in your hand while slurping away lunch.

Very lovely pottery. They appear small – but it’s because they’re just narrow. We checked and they hold as much as a standard soup bowl. A little more tippable because of the narrow base, but still a darn fine bowl.

I absolutely love this bowl for one simple reason: it’s microwave safe. I use this bowl to cook spaghetti in my microwave, leaving it in there for about 12 minutes with it about half filled with water. There’s no boil over (where other cups and bowls I’ve used tended to leave a puddle in my microwave later). It’s also safe to touch after the 12 minutes despite the contents being piping hot by grasping the top and bottom lips of the bowl.
